About Evelyn Talbot

Let’s Toot!

Evelyn Talbot, MM, began her journey under the guidance of Dr. Karl Sievers her sophomore year of high school. Studies with Dr. Sievers continued at the University of Oklahoma where she received a Bachelor’s of Music in 2015. After graduation, she pursued a Master’s Degree with Greg Wing at Morehead State University. During her time in Kentucky, Evelyn donated her time to the local American Legion and was eventually made a lifetime honorary member of that post as well as a member of the honor guard.

Upon completing a Master’s Degree, Evelyn returned home creating her private trumpet and brass studio. Her students are seen regularly in the regional and all-state ensembles in Oklahoma, compete at NTC in the high school ensemble division, members of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra ensembles, DCI groups such as Blue Knights, Genesis, and Cavaliers, and can be seen gigging throughout the Oklahoma area. Her students have gone on to study trumpet at The University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University, Morehead State University, and Southern Nazarene University on scholarship.
